I used to believe “the future is female”, that men and women are equal, but in my opinion, we are not. Men and women have different roles in life, join me on a journey back to the basics of a simpler lifestyle and learning new skills I was not taught as a child. Skills of a self-sufficient life where I work with nature instead of against it, were I build a meaningful connection with the earth and its creator. Who am I? I’m a woman who believes in the art of homemaking, I believe in being the Stuard of your home. Join me as I turn my small town, suburban house into a homestead.

Now I realize this may not be everyone’s cup of tea and we as individuals live in different areas of the world. Some people may live in an apartment in the city (and may not have a lot of space for a “traditional” homestead), some people may be first time buyers of a rural setting (and may not know where to start with so much space). Here at Maggie’s Place, I will go through the trial and errors of creating my version of a homestead. I will share my mistakes and lessons learned so you can hopefully take something from this blog and apply it to your life and how you do things at home.
